GameFAQs contests aren't what they used to be. Instead, they're about guessing who will be the one to get rallied to a contest win by outside sources. I'm of the belief that not a single character in the legends bracket has a chance of winning this thing because of how modern GameFAQs contests work.

As far as I'm concerned, this entire contest is Waluigi For Smash vs. Bowsette.

Does anyone have a case for any other character being chosen by the outside rally crew to win it all?

If there had to be a rally i'd be down for a Monika run.

Bowser is weird among rally targets in that he's strong without rallies, so in many cases he won't need to get that many votes to win. If he gets a good-sized one he's pretty much set until Link.

Monika has an absolutely garbage starting fourpack. I would trust Ness more than I do Wario, which says a hell of a lot of things about him!

I was thinking Monika. I know shes quite popular, she was moreso for the reddit smash community. Wario is the safer bet, and would probably beat Noctis as well. Im not really certain if the DDLC fanbase is quite as active anymore.

Waluigi's 2 seed suggests that there are some people who are both interested in the contest and who want him to do well (probably because of the meme.) Being up against a FF7 character might help too, so on balance I'm inclined to believe it's most likely to be him.

You could say the same about Monika's 4 seed, and she does have a weak Round 1 opponent. I just think that her game is now too old to be the rally target.

Monika, though I don't have her winning. I'm taking a gamble and having her make it to the quarterfinals, but I just don't see her beating Link.

If Bowser somehow gets the Bowsette crowd rallying for him, he'll take the whole thing. I'm assuming it won't happen, but it's possible.
