So I just finished filling out my bracket, and while I have been here for every contest I also remember trying to SUPER ANALYZE things is never a good idea so time to go with my gut...!

ROUND 1 DIVISION 1

Dante > Cuphead

Going to be interesting to see if Dante's really gotten any stronger over the years, not the match to challenge him I don't think!

Lightning > Chloe

I don't expect this one to be too close either.

Chun-Li > Spyro

This is the first interesting match up that I could see being close, and I also suspect Spyro might be the CASUAL favorite but thick thighs save lives.

Ganondorf > Neku

Nothing new here, Ganondorf is always going to be a power house.

Vivi > Yu

Should be interesting to see what goes on with Vivi this time as last time he got... a bit out of hand, I vaguely recall. I don't expect him to be quite as strong this year GUESS WE WILL FIND OUT.

Aya > Victor

I expect no one much to care about Uncharted characters, and Aya tends to perform rather well for her overall status so give me this in the ultimate 1 point match!

DK > Tidus

I am.. pretty sure this is a rematch of a previous contest. Even if it isn't I am overall DOWN on non FF7 FF characters this year and up on Nintendo overall, I like trends.

Leon > Dragonborn

I forget if the Dragonborn did anything last time, but Leon has always done pretty well for himself!

I am not sure if any of these picks light the world on fire or if everyone agrees and it is chalk, but hey I am always good for random contest analysis!

Dante > Lightning

I totally forget what Lightning did last time, but I know it probably doesn't matter because Dante's really strong in these contests and is going to 60-40 her cute butt right out of this bracket.

Ganondorf > Chun-Li

Another no brainer, except this could be a bit worse than 60-40.

Vivi > Aya

The violence against women really has to stop.

DK > Leon

This may be my first HOT TAKE but I look at this match and just think to myself "Yeah, DK's going to win this." I think Leon's star has probably faded as RE4 gets further and further into the past and Resident Evil has suffered a lot of pretty poorly received games lately. I expect this to be close but DK TAKES NO PRISONERS ANDRIPS LEON IN HALF.

DIVISION ONE MATCH 3

Ganondorf > Dante

Ganondorf has always been knocking on the door of the elite, although rather weakly lately, while Dante is more like in the hall way. I think 'Dorf continues to thrive based off of the fact that Zelda as a series is as strong as ever and Dante has had no reason to really boost. Getting a lot of nominations isn't the same as being more popular!

Vivi > DK

We've seen this match before, and Vivi is legit as fuck.

FINALS OF DIVISION 1

Ganondorf > Vivi

I think Vivi's song is not going to be as strong as it was before. In 1 on 1 battles I prefer to stick to traditional performers doing well and outside of major rallies the site has been pretty consistent in 1 on 1s over the years! I just think with Zelda still popping out titles and Vivi not doing anything that Ganondorf will get a close victory here.

What do you guys think? Is 'Dorf running through the division chalk or am I underestimating someone here?

I don't want to pick DK in debated matches.

Other than that I have Vivi > Dorf but that might be just 2013 hype speaking. I need to think about it more.
