I definitely think he will be the final enemy before Rantel...but the story may not end there given some of the hints dropped about the nature of the One Piece/Raftel, the treasure of Marejois and The reveal of the world government having a secret King above even the Gorosei

He is definitely the most obvious choice but arguments can be made for several others and ODA is no slouch at plot twists

He is definitely the most obvious choice but arguments can be made for several others and ODA is no slouch at plot twists

My theory is they'll reach Raftel, the Strawhats will have one big confrontation with the Blackbeard pirates, and at the end Blackbeard will run away, grab One Piece, and get obliterated because he's not a real D.

Cue final boss battle with Gold Roger.

It's not like he's the likely suspect of a murder mystery or vast conspiracy, where a twist would make sense. No, he's been steadily growing and building a rivalry with Luffy. I'm not really sure what purpose a plot twist away from Blackbeard would serve. He's being slowly hyped, which means the reader will want payoff. It's not like he's the likely suspect of a murder mystery or vast conspiracy, where a twist would make sense. No, he's been steadily growing and building a rivalry with Luffy. Throwing him to the wayside for some person with a lesser conflict would not make sense.

They're also hyping up how he is NOTHING like other people carrying the Will of D. That's why I believe the theory that he's lying about his name. And I'm sure you know yourself, Oda NEVER does anything without reason, so I believe that will be his downfall.

I don't see why it wouldn't be Blackbeard. Of course there is a lot to the upper World Government and the Revolutionary Army that has yet to be revealed. And some sort of bigger picture with the stone blocks and the world government. So it really wouldn't be surprising if some mystery figure from the world government came out to be the big enemy either. I doubt it will be Aikanu though.

Basically, it's revealed that Sanji is the un-favourite son of the Vinsmoke family who mutually disowned each other. The Vinsmoke family want to marry into Big Mom (one of the Four Emperors)'s family to access her technology, so they choose Sanji so they're "not losing anyone important". Since Big Mom could easily hunt down anyone Sanji cares about, like Zeff, the Baratie workers, or the Straw Hats, Sanji agrees to go through with the wedding to protect them.

Sanji's from an important mercenary family, so Big Mom (one of the captains in the running for Pirate King) organized a political marriage to form an alliance and add their military power to her crew, threatening to kill Sanji's master if he didn't comply. Sanji has to break off from the Straw Hats, but the whole wedding was just a front to kill Sanji's family anyways, so everyone's cool now.

I figure it'll be... Remember how there were like 3 parts to the water 7 saga?

There'll be some big war between the Navy and pirate crews, several emperors defeated, monkey d dragon killed by Blackbeard who then defeats dozens of other crews, straw hats end up defeating Navy heads, Blackbeard stopped with the combined efforts with several others from the worst generation, then the final showdown is between the worst generation

And the straw hats end up getting to one piece, shanks vs Luffy match to the death, "the real treasure for me was getting to see you mature, luffy-kun" but it turns out somebody needed to die to get one piece anyways because curses or whatever, ending consists of the straw hat pirates leaving the treasure behind and then a new pirate era begins, final chapters show them splitting up and we see a half page of what every major non straw hat character is doing, full page for each straw hat, then 2-3 pages of Luffy getting back to where he grew up and leaving something at a tombstone for Ace.

I remember during the Whitebeard War arc, there was an scene where the translators poorly chose their words, with Whitebeard's observation of Ace still being alive as "I see my son is still in one piece."

the ordeal with Luffy going to get him back will definitely lead to more tension between Sanji and Zoro, and between Luffy and Zoro. seriously, it might be a big enough deal that it causes Zoro to leave the crew
