So I work for Whole Foods. I am a supervisor for the customer service team. I have 2 years with the company and I am currently at 13.75 per hour. So with the minimum wage increase, the new lowest wage will be what a newbie cashier will make, which is more than what I make now. So how much above the minimum wage should I make given my position and experience? They haven't really been clear on this.

Why are you asking a video game message board and not your supervisor?

You'll probably make like $16-$17 or something similar to the current difference.

I imagine it depends on what the difference is right now
of course you probably won't get the real ratio, you'll get less. so you can always give up responsibility and demote yourself and still get paid more

Why would Amazon raising their minimum wage effect your pay at Whole Foods?

Enjoy your $15/hr. If they made you a manager after only working there 2 years then they could just hire anyone off the street to do your job you don't deserve to be making more than anyone else.

The minimum wage increase at one company is not going to be universally applied to every other company lol

raising the mininum wage doesn't help the problem. everything goes up when that happens.

Right? 2 years experience is more than enough experience for a customer service management position.

Especially when Amazon is a waaaaaaaaaaaay bigger company than Whole Foods. Besides, even with how shitty retail can be, you don't have to deal with the garbage ass workplace conditions they do

Y'all realize who owns Whole Foods, right?
