The interactions between Eddie and Venom are surprisingly great, but no, the critics are right on the money on this one. It doesn't save the movie. CGI at times was wonky but other times it was great. If I don't hate it then I enjoyed it. Probably won't buy it on home release. I just want to be able to participate in online discussions about the film for a little while. Honestly, that feels like one of the biggest reasons I ever see movies these days. I do expect Tom Hardy to elevate the movie somewhat, but I will in all likelihood view this as his weakest film.
