I admit that I used to get super defensive and take it personally when POC try to discuss white privilege.
But looking back I was a dick because I now realize that when people of color talk about "white privilege" they don't mean every single individual white person, what they mean is institutionalized racism and that there's a social structure and system in place that benefits white over POC.. Vast majority of POC - in my experience at least - have NOTHING against white folks on an individual level. They're simply talking about the system and social structure. ... Copied to Clipboard!

No because I've seen it. I'm pretty sure the dude I work for wouldn't hire a poc. He's already straight up said he would never hire a woman because we do maintenance work.

It seems like a poor way to cause change as opposed to more direct means (voting in record numbers and having more minorities running for office). White people are most likely to vote with black people close in second (Obama years being an exception) with Asians and Hispanics bringing up the rear.
