Some gear is definitely more rare than others

Right now it seems to be all about the Defenders line up. Using Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Punisher, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. Even with lower points they are dominating every single fight I see them in. Even those fights with the Shield agent groups that used to fluster me in Ultimus raid are doable now.

I did level Thanos, Deadpool, Yondu, Widow and Quake pretty high but Defenders team seems to own everything now.

What's everyone's top team power looking like? I'm sitting at about 108k.

Been using daily training and equipping objectives to level defenders. I do 2 levels and 3 pieces of equipment.

I've got an old Meta team at around 105k power

Yondu 24k
Cap 23k
Xbones 22k
Quake 18k
Merc Lt 16k

Gonna replace Merc with Widow when i get her leveled up high enough. Then i might replace Xbones with Hawkeye and put Merc + XBones on a tech team with Vision, rocket and starlord (once i get him).

I feel like i'm too invested in my current A team to level up my Defenders.

Daredevil is 7k
JJ 5k
Luke Cage 5k
Iron Fist 5k
Punisher 5k

I was using Thanos, Deadpool, Yondu and Night Nurse who were all hovering around 20l and 18k. My 5th would be either Punisher for Blitz or Arena, or Jessica Jones for raids. I actually found Jessica and Thanos to be a good combo for mez resistance and energy giving. Mostly took Thanos and Deadpool since they are my personal faves.

Wanted Iron Man so bad but he is so hard to get...burns me up that of the 6 core Avengers he is the only one I don't have....guess it is a departure form all those earlier marvel games like Avengers Alliance and Avengers Academy which always had him first.

But now I am sold on the Defenders group with JJ, DD, IF, LC and Punisher. Heck I even tried to leave Luke cage in the dust like I did Spiderman but he is really that damn good. They are easy to farm too....My group is 98 k for them.

Since when did JJ become good? I have her and Cage. Ready to be upgraded with stars but I don't use them so didn't want to waste the gold .

Here's the deal, with a full defender group:

Daredevil's 2nd ability basically gives the entire group counter so any aoe enemies get owned quickly. JJ and Fist are good for smashing tanks and buffed enemies. JJ and DD can sometimes multi tap with their number 1 which is good for dodgers and deathproofs. Fist in a Defenders group has now become a pretty decent heal with both his number 2 and even his passive. Cage is a fairly solid tank and has more hp in a Defenders group and sometimes initiates a team up with number 1. Punisher always did good damage and remember that he sometimes gets a freebie with his number 1 when other city people do their non attacks (i.e. Fist's heals, Cage's taunt and buff, JJ's rally). Also Cage can also heal the group with his taunt (not Punisher though)

Don't forget that punisher grants bonus damage against villains for all defender allies. And I think if you level his passive to 5 then he ALWAYS attacks on a non attack ability

Spidey and Ms Marvel are good additions to a City Hero/Defender team too

Ms Marvel is a secondary tank that gives energy and gains assists from hero brawlers(DD/IF/Spidey)

Spidey has that def down for two turns that helps out DD/Punisher/IF do even more damage

Got 5 characters ready for dark dimension.

Spidy(29k, 6*) quake (18k 6*) gamora (18k 6*) wolverine (15k 7*) and crossbones (9k 6*).

Not a very good team but it's allowing me to chip away at the damage for the first node. Got rocket down by about 1/3. Once he's dead it should start to snowball. I would work on crossbones but I don't really like him and would rather wait for another 6* that has better synergy with this team. I'm kind of close with cap (like 144/200). He's at about 22k so he will be a strong addition to this team.

I'm ready for starlord now. Might want to level drax a bit more first but other than that I'm ready. Gamora 20k, yondu 16k, drax 14k, Boomer and bruiser around 4k. I may need to pump resources into those two as well but in trying to avoid it.

Starlord with guardians (replacing Groot for yondu or vision and maybe drax for thanos) is a very solid team. Probably third beat after fury and defenders right now.

Thanks ..now that I can do.

I have 4 Star Cap,Hawk and 5 Star Quake.

I have 3 Star Medic and Security.

So if I stop spending points on anyone else I am guessing I can get them all 5 stars before the next event.

Starlord tech team is ridiculously strong.

Starlord Rocket Vision Merc Lt, Xbones. (not sure about the order). Some people mix in Iron man and/or Black Widow in there for more shenanigans.

Anyway, i have to remember NOT to farm the Ravager/Guardian nodes before 5pm for the next few days in case of an unannounced double shard day >_<

how do recurring character events work?

you basically can't farm them unless you get a team to each higher * tier corresponding to the rewards?

starlord is my first recurring event where i got up to 3 stars last time but when it rolls around again the stages i've already cleared won't reset for me to clear again?

asking because when i check the event page the rewards for the first few tiers are blank since i completed them last time.

pretty much yeah.

Legendary character events return every couple of months and you retain the progress you made from the last time the event was played. So, you have to complete the 5 star stage for you to unlock the character. You can't just redo the 2nd or 3rd tier again later on for more shards.

They unlock at 5 stars, and then people level the relevant team to 6 stars to go for the next tier of the event, and then 7 stars.

And I continuously get my ass handed to me. Im wondering if I should replace Thor or Korath and start beefing up Winter Soldier? Its the only tier 7 challenge I havent 3 starred.

Apparently the tier 5 stage for starlord is very hard so I'm going to need to spend a lot more resources than I hoped. Probably won't have anything to spare for leveling starlord himself for a while.

My Team is Cable,Korath,Bullseye,Winter Soldier and the WASP. (may switch in Punisher for someone). While Bullseye isn't the best I have him in there since when I am adding to his number I am also helping my payday event .

The AI always has a higher revive/dodge chances to make up for being kinda stupid at times

It's all random. The ai doesn't cheat in that way. It really only cheats in raids.

I killed one enemy in the first dark dimension node.

I guess I have shit luck then, since my Spidey never goes first. And usually fails to apply defense down or chain, whilst the AI almost always gets 1 def down and will hit at least 2 targets.

People in my team are dropping like flies. It sucks because I was there from not the start but shortly after it started and we were a top 10% team. Now we don't even have 18 members. 3 leaders left and I think I am going to fall in behind them. However I told the group I would look for more people today so I think it would be wrong to leave now after saying I will try to find more people.

They would infuriate me all the time, until I made that Defenders group I harped about earlier in this thread and now I can actually beat them up with some ease.

Also anyone have any advice on what synch teams Deadpool and Thanos would be good in. I suspect Iron Man would be great in a tech team like Vision and Rocket.

Deadpool will probably work best on an xmen team. He is also ok for a brawler team with Ms marvel

Thanos works well on cosmic teams. Paired with rocket and starlord rocket can almost spam his ult.
