Normally I would have picked Bayo without a second thought here, but Riku has some sneaky strength if I remember correctly.

I am banking on KH3 hype being at max levels because of how far I've got Sora going.

I need to decide if that hype, plus the Smash community's hatred of Bayonetta, gives Riku a chance to take this match or not.

Help me (and others) out with some stats for Bayo and Riku the last time we saw them if you could.

That's the problem. There is still value to be derived from some of it, but you have to make decisions on what seems wonky and what seems legitimate.

I think the Pokemon and Vivi are all really overrated for example.

Bayo/Riku has potential to be so close that something small like that might make the difference.

What are the odds that they drop another KH3 trailer in the next couple of weeks?

Bayonetta also got Bayonetta 2 and the PC port of her first game since the last contest. She could be significantly stronger now

KH3 Trailer finally revealing FF characters could change everything.

Imagine if Noctis and Lightning are in.

keep in mind that this was before Bayonetta was in Smash and before she was on a lot of Nintendo stuff in general

you can talk about how much people hate her there but it didn't stop Meta Knight from being popular

I didn't look at the actual X-Stats while making my bracket

I did look at past results and try to take the circumstances into consideration when making picks, but even the adjustments in 2013 are based on data that's 8-10 years old at this point.

eh it suggests a 55/45 win for Riku assuming constant Alucard and Falcon (which isn't a given naturally)

it's within the realm of Bayonetta being able to close that gap within the last 5 years
