-no hurricanes
-no tsunamis
-no blizzards, no snow
-no tornadoes
-thunderstorms once in a rare while
-normal rain, nothing too heavy
-no wildfires
-mild earthquakes (the "big one" has been coming "any time now" for the last 20 years, so yea)
-doesn't get too cold
-doesn't get too hot
-no humidity
-not too dry

Just look at San Jose average monthly temperatures, for most of the year its between 50s to 70s, perfect humidity. Summer highs in 80s, winter lows in 40s. Most of the year you can wear t-shirt/shorts OR jeans/jacket and still be comfortable.
