Poll of the Day > last night the local mcdonalds was closed but all the lights were still on

they had a note that only stated they had closed at 8:45 PM and would open the next day at 6:00 AM to better suit their customers

several cars kept coming in only to find out they were closed and drove away...what's really weird is everything was still up and running

The Mcdonalds sign was lit up the inside and outside of the building were lit up(including the drive-through menu's)

why am I posting this? because that's pretty much the first I recall mcdonalds closing up and not really stating why they did so...and leaving without turning anything off leading many to still assume they were actually open

Not directly related but I once pulled into the drive-thru of a Chick-fil-A and waited maybe two minutes for the cashier to take my order over the intercom. Didn't realize that 1) the lights were all off and 2) it was a Sunday......

now that's the thing though...I would have been able to process it easier if the lights were off but they weren't

it was creepy honestly...seeing a lifeless mcdonalds that still looks like it should have employees working inside

Ps.it's only an interesting topic because nobody felt the need to make the place look like it's closed and instead left it lit up like a Christmas tree for all to see might as well shut everything off instead of leaving everything off and causing people to think it's still open when it isn't

If people were inside then possible burglary happened. If not it is possible power outage and then when power came back on all the lights came back on. I worked there over 20 years ago but had both happen to while on duty there.

well my mother did tell me she saw two people inside who weren't wearing mcdonalds uniforms so it is a possible a robbery was afoot but I know we won't know for sure honestly what went down

You're completely correct. I'm serious here. The vast vast majority of people don't live exciting lives of grandeur and still not a single one of those lives were so sad and bleak that they needed to discuss a closed McDonald's with its lights still on to inject some thrill into their gray little lives.

Actually, a few years ago, the company switched over to only employing ghosts (remember when they said they were going to give employees a 30% raise and jacked their prices? They actually KILLED all their employees and....then raised 30% of them from the dead as ghosts).

Your store ran out of ectoplasm that night, so the ghosts couldn't materialize and create and hand out food. It happens rarely. If you witness the employees dematerializing Mc Donalds kills you and puts you in their "burgers".

The city is 10 miles (16 km) south of Fort Worth and 35 miles (56 km) southwest of Dallas.

the dallas/fort worth/arlington area has a population of nearly six million.
