Ehhh....

First of all MadCatz made pretty good shit. Their arcade fight sticks are among the best ever made. The stupid gimmicky shit they had like turbo controllers and such were junk, but not everything they made was bad.

Razer's specialty products are extremely good. The Tartarus V2 is a fucking godsend and I honestly cannot imagine playing MMOs or MOBAs without it or something like it ever again. Before that I used an Orbweaver Chroma which is basically the same thing.

I also have a Razer Blade Pro... an older one, but it's been a fantastic laptop and generally one of the best I've ever used. It's gotten old enough now that some of the USB ports have died, but the rest of the PC is still useable and fantastic.

I would actually consider the Razer phone if it had a headphone jack. Two things I look for before even considering a phone are a headphone jack and no notch, it's surprising how many new phones fail that simple test.

Blu-ray was such a brand new and niche format at the time that HDDVD was still competitive.

By the time X1X released, Blu-rays are basically fell to the wayside and everything had already moved onto streaming.

Wrong. X1X launched at $500. PS3 launched at $500. There was a bigger hd bundle for ps3 for $600, but I doubt sales for that model come anywhere close to sales of new $800-1000 phones.

I was wrong about the X1X price though. It was only $600 in Canada, the USD price was cheaper.

In 2006 that wasn't relevant - digital downloads on console was still in its infancy, and most people didn't have a wireless router anyway.

For me, it's no notch and a 16:9 (not 18:9) display. Also not TOO large.

I mean they did. PS3 rapidly racked up around 10 million in sales, and X1X also sold several million.

They both struggled a lot afterwards but the fact remains that they did sell millions.
