Most of the guys on here(including me) are probably neckbeard virgin losers. It's the only way to do decent(but not win) at these contests, researching everything, looking up the stats, going back into the archives.

All of it likely leads to a top 20th percentile bracket but not top 5%. Somewhere in between top 20th percentile and top 5th percentile. You end up with a good but not great bracket.

So was all that time researching and looking up stats and topics worth it?

How do you have time to be on a board like this in 2018

I don't think I've played a game that I enjoy from an aesthetic standpoint more than this one

i remember feeling bad that i thought FFTA wasn't very good since I loved FFT and TO so goddamn much. like there must have been something wrong with me.

Disagree majorly. I've gotten a 0 bracket and I think I got like 50th or something last contest. Don't research anything, don't visit stats topics, just kinda use general gaming knowledge and osmosis of general trends.

Maybe not a bad game. But the gameplay in Phoenix Wright is not good at all.

Story/Characters/Music all great though.

Characters were pretty solid. Story and music were eh. Gameplay was unforgivably awful.

Also I like Zero Escape and Danganronpa, so it's not as if I'm just not a fan of that type of game.

I played the original and advance for about the same amount of hours.

The only difference was like, tone and story? That's everything for some people, but otherwise they were basically the same. Advance might have had nicer quality of life improvements too like not locking you out when you try new missions.

Lost like half my party when I tried to advance the story in tactics until I was gonna unlock that city again or something.

I played FFTA twice. I like it, but I always quit around the 60% mark of the game.

It's when you've formed a party with all the classes you want and now all that's left is beat some enemy teams with terrible AI over and over.

Yeah those percentiles are off. I remember getting a 20% in like 2007 when I wasn't nearly as active here as I am today. Nowadays I probably get 5% without needig much luck.

Winning the contest is another story though.
