Basically, they vaguely ask you about an experience and you are supposed to reply in this pre-planned way of answering: and in specific detail.

Problem
Action
Results/Lesson learned

There is no sense of time for these and the interviewer can stop you midway through it. I always get stopped because I focus too much on the action part. They also get pissy if you don't state your lessons learned. Meh.

Anyone had these? How do you fare?

I always had a couple of these prepared for interviews when I was a jobseeker. They basically want to see if you have the skills to analyse a situation and if you can do it under pressure.

You just sort of have to go along and do it. Prepare some before hand if it's troubling you.

I don't have problems finding answers. I just don't know how long answers should be. If I give like a 2 min answer, I am afraid they would score lower.

I am going to do research on youtube but can't really find info on this. Google brings out results for the same damn advice, every site.

Two minutes is quite a lot for a single scenario. I wouldn't go much more than that or you're probably giving non essential filler.

If you can't answer anything using the STAR method, maybe staying home and being a NEET is your destiny.

So it's 2 mins only? They only ask like 6 questions for a 30 min interview. That's like half of the interview time. Am I suppose to give them a chance to ask filler questions instead of me putting fillers in my answers?

It's going to depend on the interviewers, it's not an exact science, but in my personal experience of job interviews I wouldn't be going over two minutes of straight delivery in a single answer as you're probably going to not be delivering top quality content throughout.

Meh. The sense of timing for answers makes it a nightmare for me. Thanks for the info though.
