(first 1 1/2 years) - Results (4 votes) Obama 0% (0 votes) 0 Trump 100% (4 votes) 4 Interested in seeing the results here. I am referring mainly to dealing with public opinion/economy/extraneous circumstances and political realities within the beginning of each of their presidencies. I would say Obama had it much worse and Trump has it much easier. There was considerably more room for Obama to slip up and completely destroy the american economy with bad economic/recovery policy. Trump inherited a strong economy and while he faces mounting pressure from most media outlets it seems like even if he was trying to tank the economy at this point it would be extremely difficult because Obama left him with such a strong economy to start with on "easy mode".
