I think the strategy is just her + four corpses to be dragged. I assumed you'd dummy link her and little to no one else.

I think this is the crossover character who shoots a huge missile or something, so you shouldn't play so casually as to miss getting her. :P

There's a good chance I'll end up getting her, but it's no big deal if I don't. I mean, I flat out didn't want ART556, so I played super casual during that event and still ended up getting her.

I didn't like Azur Lane's art. Wasn't as good as Girls Frontline's art.

Plus it was a bullet hell. I don't like those. I Uninstalled pretty quick.

i discovered there's an autobattle mechanic, so that helped as i'm also not a huge fan of bullet hells

Azur Lane's useful in that you can send your ships on commissions to level them up without investing any resources. You also don't have to spend resources refilling ammo/repairing after battle either. Weekly missions also give you bulins to help limit break (analogous to dummy linking) ships, rather than just giving you generic resources. It's pretty fun overall, but you need fuel to do anything, and it accrues at a slower rate than gold. This means, when you want to grind for EXP/drops, you really should do it with as little fuel consumption as possible. Your maximum fuel size increases (+100) with each commander level, though, and every 10 levels you can invest gold to increase the resource gain rate.

Bullet hell stuff isn't my favorite genre, but given how noob-friendly it can be, you may not even need to auto-battle after awhile. Save up your wisdom cores (analogous to GF production contracts) to try and pull super rare heavy/carrier ships. Enterprise is ridiculously OP, so that's a good one to try for.

I like her design, so I keep her around. She was a big player on my MG Shotgun team, but ended up getting taken off for someone else.

I wonder how far off the neural network (or whatever) thing is. Getting 2* scrubs up to Lv100 isn't really appealing, but the collector in me wants to get these. Bren might get first dibs, though.

Yeah, that's some generic two-star MG. I read that her new skills give the SG it buffs a 5 HP damage shield or something each time it hits (potentially), so that could be pretty useful.

She's actually one of the best 2-star dolls in the game, and the first MG that I ever raised. Due to her great statline and common drop rate, she's a great MG for beginners to use while avoiding Core Hell in the early game, and still a great budget MG even very late in the game if you can't pull one of the very top-tier MG's like PKP.

If you add the dudes in this topic as friends, you can use their squads in maps to steamroll enemies perhaps too tough for you. You can't control them, but they follow simple directives (capture HQ, eliminate nearest enemy, etc.) and don't consume any precious resources.

Awesome, enjoy your stay! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'll give you some helpful beginner hints now:

1) Use the websites and guides in the opening post of this topic. They are very useful, especially the one about T-Doll production. Using the optimized recipes that it gives will save you a lot of resources in the long run.

2) Unlike most gacha games, do not assume that higher rarity instantly means more useful in battle. There are plenty of all-around useful gems among the 2* and 3* dolls (M14, LWMMG, PPK, to name a few) just like there are some 4* or 5* dolls that only have a niche use (Negev, Thompson, NTW20, to name a few) or practically worthless (Kar98k, Suomi, FAMAS, to name a few) so keep that in mind. Use the resources I mentioned (Gamepress is useful for this) to help you decide.

3) Building on #2: don't try to use too many high rarity dolls too early in the game. You'll end up in Core Hell, AKA not having enough cores to dummy link (upgrade) your dolls at levels 10/30/70/90, and a dummy linked 2* or 3* will always be better than a non-linked doll of a higher rarity. The second dummy link at level 30 is often where players fall into core hell, because your team will often reach that mark in the middle of the story, and there's plenty of time to accumulate cores before the one at level 70.

4) Arrange your echelons wisely! Make sure your dolls' buff tiles aren't being wasted and that no dolls are being left unbuffed. Generally speaking (besides a couple of exceptions such as M4A1) AR's and SMG's buff each other, MG's and SG's buff each other, RF's buff HG's, and HG's buff all other kinds of dolls.

5) Building on #4: early on in the game, AR's and SMG's will be most useful. A standard 3AR/2SMG or 2AR/2SMG/1HG echelon will carry you for a while, but throwing in an RF or MG here or there (with a HG to buff them) isn't a bad idea. Most wouldn't recommend to train MG's early on (because they use up a lot of resources compared to other categories, and you can't get shotguns to pair them with until you unlock heavy production later in the game) but training one MG early on (I mentioned LWMMG already, she's a fantastic beginner MG and very common) may not be a bad idea because they're fantastic for quick bursts of damage.

6) DO NOT DISASSEMBLE THE STORY GUNS FOR CORES! The main team in the story (M4A1, M4 SOPMOD, AR15, M16A1, and RO635) can only be obtained once each, and they're all extremely useful. They're all considered high rarity, so using all of them may put you in Core Hell, but using a couple of them (likely M4A1 for her unique buff tiles and then either SOPMOD or AR15) once you get them will help you out a lot. Also, some other dolls are only available from events or monthly log-in bonuses, and while most of them are only trophy dolls, some of them can be useful. If you get a doll from a limited event, check what she can do and only scrap if you're sure you won't find a use for her.

Also one thing people seem to miss, you can do the twitter share thing for 30 gems weekly, and you don't even need to get into twitter, just click on the thing then cancel and you get 30 gems.

She has high HP but terrible evasion for an SMG, so she'll take a ton of hits and need a lot of repairs. Her weak skill (which boosts her terrible evasion but takes an entire 6 seconds to activate) doesn't do enough to mitigate her bad tanking ability, especially considering that late-game enemies often have high accuracy and will be hitting her anyways. On top of that, her buff tiles are mediocre, both in what they buff and the placement of those tiles. She's just not worth the investment as a 5* doll.

Other "high HP but bad evasion" SMG's have some sort of upside that makes them decent or at least niche use. PPS43 has high damage for an SMG that gives her a surprisingly potent hand grenade skill. G36C has very good buff tiles. Thompson has such an unbelievably massive HP pool that she makes the awkward statline work decently well even with bad evasion. Suomi has zero upside compared to these dolls, or especially compared to the actually good SMG's like Vector or the UMP sisters.
