I generally think its a good idea to read them in order. Its not Chronicles of Narnia or anything. I didnt think there was a debate of ASOIF

Clearly you need to read them in reverse order from the end of each book backwards to the start. TO get full enjoyment you also need to perform a handstand and read them all in one breath at the same time.

You can read them either before the main novels (chronological order):
