Would Stalin have then more or less sided with Hitler? And they would have won WW2?

Maybe.

But it was inevitable that the truce was going to be broken. Hitler just shot first.

No; the USSR would've just been the ones to eventually break it instead. Only way around that would be if the war ended before that happened, somehow.

Meh.... Stalin was all about getting as much territory as possible in eastern europe and asia

Siding with America gave him a nice piece of the pie

Hitler was annoyingly expansionist from a soviet point of view. Probably they go to war anyway.

The USSR would probably just jump in once it is clear who the winner is and side with them. Kind of like they did against Japan.

Stalin was in the middle of one of his moronic purges so if the USSR was not attacked I'd imagine he'd continue them and further weaken the USSR.

Without Hitler getting paranoid about the Soviets he likely continues his onslaught and eventually overtakes Britain, as long as Chamberlain remained in power and Churchill never takes over. Churchill would have never surrendered to Hitler, but without Hitler attacking Russia I think it's likely he steamrolls France a lot faster and the UK simply gives up. And if the UK fell to Hitler he immediately would gain access to their supplies(Read: OIL) throughout the ME, providing him far more resources to expand and build the military up even more, something Germany lacked by the end of WWII.

Now, if that DOES happen, then I think you'd see Stalin react immediately and be the first to attack. And if that's the case, I think the USSR spreads rapidly throughout the European continent, which itself then raises the question of does the US support a the Soviets as they expand directly through Western Europe? Or do they immediately attack the Soviets directly.

This. They were already poised for war. Stalin had the Japanese to the east and Hitler had the allies to the West so they basically said "yes we're going to kill each other eventually but why don't we focus on those other asshole first"

stalin and hitler were always going to go to blows, hitler just chose a really dumb time to do it. had he focused on UK and handled that better he'd have broken them and had the time to focus on russia, bombing london and opening a second theater fucked him.
