I wouldn't care, being college educated doesn't really impress me or make me look down on a person if they don't have one.

I do have a degree btw

I have a university (not just college) degree, my gf went straight into work out of high school. She's got a better job than I do (we both work in IT, but her job is higher level and for bigger clients).

Degrees don't mean shit in a lot of cases.

You wouldn't be equally happy with someone who has been successful and got a good job via a means other than a degree, thus showing your kids there's more than one option (while still instilling "but you do need to find something"), including some that don't require putting yourself under a mountain of student loan debt?

Degrees are overrated. Far more money to be made by thee average person in skilled trades while not putting yourself or family tens of thousands of dollars in debt.
