You like all their policies, and everything they say and stand for is in line with your principles. However, during their campaign it is leaked that your candadite is on medication for some sort of mental illness. Maybe they had issues when they were younger, before they had been diagnosed, but since medication all of that is behind them.

Your candadite makes a statement that they have managed the condition, and medication has kept them on track, and they just didn't see it as pertinent as the condition has not affected them since a proper regiment has been in place.

The condition could be anything from schizophrenia to bipolar, and anything in between (including depression). All of which can be managable with proper diagnoses and medication.
