It always seems to put characters up against other characters who aren't as popular, look at the polling results right now for example, they need to have lesser known/less popular characters against their own kind, putting Dante up against cuphead isn't really fair, putting Lightning up against Chloe from Life is Tumblr isn't really fair either.

I mean take this for example, there's a reason why in competitive pokemon they have different tiers, if the polls seperated them it be more interesting because you always end up seeing the same characters win in the end(with the exception of that one year when tetris block won lol)

If you mean with the whole character battle thing: its a way of preventing people screeching too much as their favourites avoid [for the most part] being knocked out by being pitted against easy opposition. It's a privilege thing that means yet a-fucking-gain it'll by Mario/Cloud/Snake.

If you have issues with this then I would suggest you notify Twitter for the unfair treatment of other NPCs.

Nah, I'd rather see the biggest hitters pitted against each other at the start, be entertained by the screeching and whining and then see an underdog win potentially.
