MZero11 10/21/18 9:45:17 PM #1:	Welcome to Spread Betting 2018! You can signup now or anytime during the contest. Regardless, you will be given $1000 to bet on matches as you see fit. If at any time you fall below $1000, you can bet up to $1000 but beware you can enter the negatives. The user with the most money at the end will be crowned the winner and receive a game of their choice (within reason) courtesy of your host (unless I win, then the prize will go to the runner-up). WHAT IS SPREAD BETTING? Basically this works like sports betting with spreads, if you're familiar with that. Here's an example line: Dante (-40) vs Cuphead (Dante over Cuphead with 70%) If you bet on Dante, he would have to beat Cuphead by 40%, meaning he'd have to get at least 70% of the vote (70-30 = 40). If you bet on Cuphead (+40) he needs to score at least 30.01% of the vote (69.99 - 30.01 = 39.98) to keep the difference in percentage, or spread, within 40. PARLAYS New for this contest is 4-match days, so I am introducing a parlays! For those unfamiliar, you can earn more by combining your bets, but if even just one is wrong you lose the whole thing. The parlay odds are: 2-Match Parlay: 3 to 1 ($100 bet = $300 profit) 3-Match Parlay: 7 to 1 ($100 bet = $700 profit) 4-Match Parlay: 15 to 1 ($100 bet = $1500 profit) RULES -You can bet up to your total current bank (or up to $1000 if you are under $1000) each day (not each match). This means one MAX bet per day. -Newcomers start with $1000 -You can choose any combination of parlays and single bets you want. However, you can only bet on each match once, either as a single bet or as part of a parlay -I will accept "if" bets (If Dante covers, $1000 on Vivi. If not, $500 on Vivi, etc.) in case the match is close. This only applies for bets made on the next days matches -If you bet MAX, the bet will be calculated based on the results of the previous days matches. For example, if youre at $0 with $1000 riding on a 3-match parlay, your MAX bet will be $8000 if the bet is successful and $1000 if its not. -If you fall below $1000, you can bet up to $1000 for the day.
