Red Dead Redemption 2 is on 2 discs. I think the last multi disc game I played was Mass Effect 2 on 360, but then when I bought it again on PS3 it was down to 1.

My friend gifted my other friend that I gameshare with RDR2, which means I also own the game. I don't know if I'll play it any time soon though. I wasn't planning on getting it any time soon so I wasn't hyped for it.

The install is taking a while. Be prepared. Sadly I won't be playing tonight it seems.

Didn't people used to call the first Red Dead Redemption RDR2 since there was Red Dead Revolver first? But now Red Dead Redemption 2 is also RDR2. So how does that work? Is Red Dead Redemption now just RDR and Red Dead Revolver gets the shaft?

I guess it's like DS being understood as "Dark Souls" because nobody cares about Demon's Souls anymore

I've never seen someone call Red Dead Redemption RDR2. Revolver is an obscurity with a good name

I don't because I would rather go home and do nothing. There's a halloween party tonight at 5 at the office and the last thing I want to do is stay here longer.

The only one I go to is the summer party which is actually pretty cool. It's during work hours and I get paid, and they rent out a bar rooftop and there's free food and drinks and stuff

No, there's a big banquet lunch at Christmas but that's it. The food was very good last year at least. Sometimes people hang out after work but even the people I like here I don't really want to hang out with so I don't go.

The people who make plans together here are people I would never hang out with. Most of them I would even avoid eye contact if somehow we wound up at the same bar. Luckily the worst of them would never venture into the city anyway because they'll get shot and robbed of course.

There's a tier of people here who it they invited me over for a barbecue or something I'd at least probably make an appearance. But there are like two people in that tier.

Does it even count as much of a party if it's at the office itself? That sounds lame.

At my old work, the basically main boss at our location used to throw a Halloween party at his house. That was good, but my first year there was the last time he did it.

We had Christmas parties as well which were alright, except the open bar was only for like two hours

There was one guy who annoyed me, though, and he started ending up in a lot of the circles I hung out with but I never mentioned to anyone that I didn't like him. I might have talked about him before, was a dude that vaped fucking everywhere you go and said words like "butthurt" in real life

They're fine, I just don't really want to hang out with them outside of work

Percentage wise they're fine overall if we're talking about my peers. Obviously hanging with the 60 year old guy was never an option. There are just a couple who really annoy me and they're in the best friends gang. And most of them are ridiculously corny.

You're close to the end of Act 2 of 3. I think. Act 3 would be pretty short if all you did was burn through the main missions.

Is that show over yet? I think they're on season 30 now and a lot of people suspected that would be the last one but I have no idea if it's been confirmed to go on further than that.

The Panthers are having Rae Carruth's son as a special guest at their game, which seems really weird to me. Like I know it isn't the intent, but with the timing it almost comes off like celebrating his father's release from prison (a father who almost got him killed, and did get his mother killed). It would've made a lot more sense to have him at Panthers games before that but I guess there was no symbolically good time

I assume every game has a different cast? Do they at least have some recurring characters across mainline entries?

Yeah each game has a different cast, but there are recurring themes. FF7 is the equivalent of OoT, so everybody loves that cast (especially STLCards1991, who loves PS1 girls named Tifa with huge knockers).
Recurring themes:
-monsters like cactuar
-moogles
-There's a guy named Cid in every FF game. He usually pilots flying vehicles
-you gotta save the world

RDR 2 has the most important thing a game can have: extensive hair and clothing options

Even if you take only the main character and main villain from each of the story-driven FF games, that's somewhere around 25 characters. It's a lot, but it kind of makes sense considering how popular the games were.

But I also agree that it's boring to see so many characters from one series. even if each one is different.
