Vergeben did guess correctly. He correctly leaked "Everyone is Here!", Ridley, the Belmonts, Isabelle, Ken and Incineroar.

Adding a Granblue character would be piss. It's an anime phone game. It's like the worst way for the "Add Goku" meme to come true.

Like you could at least add Saber (who admittedly was always one of my wish picks). She's an actual video game character, representing a so far unrepped genre, who has been around for over a decade and has had games on Nintendo consoles (in addition to being the mascot for a weeaboo phone game).

Reimu Hakurei would be another great example of weeaboo game characters that aren't from fucking Granblue.

A Granblue character just seems so weird to me that I almost can't believe it to be true, if it wasn't coming from Vergeben (who I previously doubted).

Luffy was always my pick for "most likely weeab character to make it in".

Actually thinking about it more, it starts to make sense. The Smash Ballot would have happened shortly after Granblue launched. Katalina could have been the Japanese equivalent of the Goku vote and gotten a lot of Japanese weeab votes. She's probably the consequence of timing.

Who would be another example of somebody low-profile who could be interesting to play as. Realistically, as much as people suggest Geno on forums and the like, the vast majority of people don't care about him and he's really not significant at all. He was a one-shot character from a spinoff game over 20 years ago. He does, however, have the potential to be fun, and as I said, including somebody less significant would not be the end of the world. If they include him, cool. If they don't, whatever.

It's not like a lot of characters who turned out to be hits were all that significant either beforehand. =x

Super Smash Bros. Ultimates DLC line-up is now complete. This time the selection was made entirely by Nintendo. I decide if we can create a fighter based on their selection, then come up with the plan.

Would Phoenix Wright/Naruhodo Ryuichi not be a better choice then? As his games in the unrepresented genre (visual novels) are actually on Nintendo consoles. Not just spin-offs in different genres.

Well I am not Nostradamus so no shit mate.

I personally dont think Nintendo executives are going to want Banjo and Geno in their biggest game of the year but that's just me. I made it clear in my initial post that it was conjecture.

I don't see how Banjo would be impossible, fits all the criteria and even better than some guest characters who are already in the game, and Nintendo has been quite buddy-buddy with MS recently over the whole crossplay stuff. Plus they already have a template in place with Duckhunt Dog.

If there will be a MS/Rare guest though, i think Battletoads would be more likely, fit the same criteria as Banjo, premade fighting moves and we know they are currently making a new Battletoads so it would make sense on MS's part in terms of marketing.
