Ohhhh neat, we had our first switched result! Ramza won by 78 votes with outsiders, but took GameFAQs with ease to make the difference. Had the seeds been flipped, Ramza might have had enough extra brackets on his side to flip things back to his favor. Goes to show how every nomination slot matters!

Ramza won by 78 votes with registered users. It was the outsiders and unregistered users that made the difference for Garrus.

I don't know if it has been pointed out but during the bracket-making period, the Persona 5 protagonist was just referenced as Ren if you picked him in later rounds. I checked the jsfiddles for the guru contest to make sure. Indeed he only appears as Ren in later rounds.

However if you look at your bracket now, it now says Joker in Round 2. So there's a chance that the name that will appear underneath the match pic will be Joker. Since that is what's currently going on with Captain Toad.

I have Claire in my bracket but I'm actually hoping Joker gets a fair pic/name because I want this to be a fair match and produce some real stats.

And I haven't played Persona but new series being strong is cool.

For the record, FF6 would have likely done better against FF7 had that match not taken place on the same day as Chrono Trigger vs. Melee, as spillover from the Melee rally favored FF7.

Speaking of Gordon, where is Bowser's star of the round? He roasted Gordon into the ground, and reinforced he was the favorite to the take the division in the process.

I'm not sure Gilgamesh would've won any of those matches.

Maybe Master Hand, but even then, I'd be skeptical.

I think he very likely would have outperformed Noctis and probably would have beaten the Hand (though I had forgotten that Noctis lost by 15%, jeeze), and could very well have outperformed Cecil

I said several times during the nomination period that this was the right time to bring Locke back now that he has Dissidia artwork instead of the utter crap he got in CBIX, but no one listened to me! I'm not a super big FFVI fan, but I can get behind Locke.

Celes has had two chances and looked pretty bad both times (although she had Seifer holding her back in CBIX, to be fair), so I think she's used up her shot.

So this one was a huge surprise because D.Va is a non-Nintendo character, although she had the benefit of facing a non-Nintendo character. The previous non-rally record was set by Pikachu. We'll see what happens with D.Va next round when she has to face a Nintendo character.

D.Va puts up an incredible 55.10% in the US and only 53.84% in Canada. Generally, Canada does like Blizzard more than the US, but D.Va just happened to be stronger in the US. Aloy easily won the Europe vote.

Given D.Va's dominance with the North America vote and her strong start at the beginning of the match, I would likely conclude that D.Va would have kicked ASS during the day vote if we still had an ASV to speak of.
