Easily Korosensei. The lessons he imparted could do a lot of good for people in the real world. It blew me away how genuine the lessons could be.

Yeah it's pretty good. I mean some of the typical training stuff was always a little boring to me, but it really goes to some interesting places with its story.

I went into it expecting a generic shounen that I would drop after 3 episodes. In the end, I was in the same boat as you - ninjas cutting onions. Korosensei was the best.
