FF8 had a mod called Requiem that made the game really challenging, even with Triple Triad abuse.

Requiem is amazing, but there isn't an official release for SE, and it has a shitload of compatibility issues with other mods.
I've heard the unofficial SE port works, but I'll have to dip my toes in that mess when I'm off work during the winter. Just don't have time right now to make another 200+ plugin Requiem loadout not explode. --- I have a signature.
