Luckily, Uncle Sam pays me my regular wages and just says I can't collect any money I would get from the court.

That is a really bad wage for jury duty, though.

I still get paid while on jury duty and I don't have to work. It's a win-win situation, but I've never been called upon to do it.

I've only been summoned 3 times in my life and never came close to being picked. The closest I came was when I got to watch them go through potential jurors and either accept or excuse them. They got all their jurors before they even reached me.

And the last time, I called the hotline that morning and got dismissed before I even left the house. Free day off

If you already had that vacation booked, you can probably tell them that and fill out an alternative time you can do jury duty. I do agree with others that the pay is absolute garbage so if your employer doesn't make up the difference or pay you, you lose a lot of money which isn't fair.

I already delayed it once earlier this year. I'm just gonna go and act racist or something..or i'll be like "all cops are racist".
