the actual background of the story is pretty much a bullet point list of failures in OPSEC. The "private intelligence" company behind the reveal consists of basically only a LinkedIn page, with the employees all being slightly edited stock images or celebrity/model headshots (one of their accounts was literally just a sepia pic of Christoph Waltz), Wohl literally registered the domain for the fake company's website with the email address "[email protected]" and didn't anonymise it

there's pretty much nothing he's done right
