I just parked my car directly in front of the door entry to my house and went in through the garage. I don't feel like being bothered by them today.

When I was living in my apartment, I once had my doorbell ring and I checked thru the peephole and it was just some kid...alone.

He looked scared, so I opened the door, and BOOM this woman comes from around the corner and she starts going into her Jehovah's Witness stuff...and I'm like "oh I got something boiling on the stove I can't talk right now"

They literally will even use children to get you to open your doors

My mom had a sign on our old house when I was growing up that said "No purveyors of religious persuasion" and they never bothered us again after we put the sign up.

I think the Canadian chapter has stopped going door to door and has started just handing out pamphlets to high school students. I always see them around town these days in normal clothes, rather then shirt and tie just standing around with a stand full of The Watchtower and similar things.

I don't mind talking to them. Although, the Mormon missionaries tend to have better stories.

In the next town over there are two of them in this spot EVERY DAY with their pamphlet stand for like 8 hours. Here's a pic I took back in March.



Occasionally I'll see a van driving around my town with 4 of them inside. Usually 2 men and 2 women dressed in their best, going around neighborhoods pestering people.

I live right by their Canadian headquarters in southern Ontario. Thankfully, I don't see them out as often as you'd expect.

I never answer the door when they come by. Whoever thought that was a good model for proselytizing?

One time they tried to get me doing yardwork. I just told them "no thanks, God bless you" and went back to work.

Mostly I see them at the gas station with a stand full of Watchtower magazines.
