Sounds like a great pairing to me.

Batman is all like "Grr, I am the night, I am darkness. I have been driven to the edge of nightmares and no longer feel as I have nothing left to lose!" as he sits on a gargolye in black

While Spiderman is like bright and chirpy and like "I generally make it a rule not partner with anyone who wears underpants over their pants but I guess in your case... We're now back to our regularly scheduled chaos!"

They also both are super similar with the whole sort of flying but not really thing, swinging from perch points, tying crooks up. Strong but yet still vulnerable to like random people

They both fuck red haired college girls, although Spiderman is also a college student while Batman is like 42 so it's creepy as hell.

I mean like they could do a story where Rhino and Bane team up and beat the shit out of Batman until he is rescued from death by Spidey. So Spiderman is like "you need my help dude" and Batman is like "no"

But then Spiderman won't leave him alone.

There was at least two off the top of my head, that were exclusively Batman and Spidey, not big all Marvel and DC. I remember thinking the one with Joker and Carnage was decent, but that was about 20 years ago so who knows if it holds up? I forget who the villains were in the other one.

Most of the crossovers were pretty meh but I do miss them happening semi-regularly. Was kind of cool for the novelty of it.
