I don't like tomatoes period. Although I feel like I've heard that cherry tomatoes taste different? I usually throw them out or give them to a friend/girlfriend if I'm eating with someone else.

It's very unlikely I'd be eating a salad but I love cherry tomatoes and cook with them a lot.

They're fine. Cut them in half and put salt and pepper on them or the salad dressing.
Once in a while one will be very bitter though and that one sits on the side of the plate.

Ah, it's not even a salad. Just those three ingredients.

I might be ignorant to salads, but there are only two general kinds of salad I like: avocado, and this shredded veggies thing my step-grandma makes. I can eat any of them, but usually it tastes like bland greens with too-strong dressing.

Beet salads are one of my favorite salads that are reasonably prevalent in my area, idk if you've ever had one; a nice caesar salad that isn't drowning in sauce, caprese salads & balsamic-gorgonzola/bleu cheese salads are nice too.

Possibly the best salad I've ever eaten was the Sonoma greens salad I had at Truluck's in Austin when I visited my cousin about two years ago; spiced pecans, goat cheese, apples, Kalamata olives, honey vinaigrette...*Italian chef kissing fingers*

See, that sounds amazing. I'm surrounded by amazing food, but the one thing that's missing is a good salad place. It's usually an afterthought; a salad bar, a weightwatcher's option.

But hell, I'll steal your recipe. I can get all those ingredients locally.

That's cool... oh yeah, if you're gonna try to recreate that Truluck's salad... I can't specifically recall what lettuce they used for the base, but I'm pretty sure it was Romaine. Maybe even just buy a bag of mixed greens. Good luck either way
