I think his power has a weird caveat though. If he tries to use it for selfish reasons, it becomes bad luck instead of good.

It also has a weird thing when its tied to his emotions. His powers wont work if he is sad or depressed. But work when Happy.

You can catch diseases by reabsorbing clones. You can't reabsorb a dead clone. I'm pretty sure if you reabsorb an injured clone, you do not get the injury. If you are injured and reabsorb the clone, you would still be injured.

He does, at least in X-Factor. It fucks with him a little bit at one point because he and/or a clone slept with two of his teammates in the same night, but he couldn't tell which one he'd slept with, which one his clone slept with, or if it had been the clone both times.

It's also worth mentioning that his clones (again, at least in X-Factor) aren't precisely identical mentally. They tend to have random emotional baselines, like that clone I mentioned above being sort of a sleazy horndog.

I feel like I would be way overpowered honestly. I think I would be a master criminal, teleporting everywhere, being able to phase though solid objects and the real me would always be out of harm's way. I just have to make sure my doubles never become independent.

Yes.

You don't have to reabsorb the clones, but it's probably not great for there to be a bunch of clones of you running around with STDs doing whatever they want. And if you do kill it, I don't think the body dissolves or anything and I don't think you could reabsorb it, so you'd still have a body to deal with.
