They are a parent just like the rest. Fathers are actually given zero choice in regards to a child yet fully responsible by law regardless of the choice. It is an interesting situation to say the least.

Yeah. The "right to be born" group, aka the same people who would gladly take away all other civil liberties to protect the Second Amendment. They talk about being pro-life but as soon as you're out of the womb, it becomes your fault if you get shot.

Though for the record, I am pro-consequences. I am "pro-choice" only to the extent that if you chose to have sex, you knew what you were risking. And yes, that's an important distinction as I believe that a rape victim should have the right to abort. Though the cynic in me thinks that such a thing would lead to a rise in false rape allegations...

Well, I guess there'd be ways to deal with that. After all, if it's not a rape, then you'd be committing a crime by having the abortion, so you'd definitely have to consider whether you want to commit to that rape claim.

Yeah the pro-life group are more like pro-birth. Howler all down the street about how every pregnancy needs to come to term but then vote to cut programs that would help these children have a good life(which would help them grow into functioning adults).

Anti-choice but pro-safety net is something I can respect a lot more since they aren't contradictory(you gonna be born and we will will make sure you have a good quality of life so that you can appreciate your "saved" life.)

You are absolutely correct. It is her choice. It is her choice to not do or to do something which can result in a pregnancy which then brings about a responsibility and consequence from said action. If she chooses to do so, she is responsible for the result. Just as the man is.

This might sound crazy, but I think men should be allowed to get financial (or whatever you want to call it) abortions, where they give up all rights and responsibilities to the fetus

the rules and norms were designed in a world where women weren't supposed to do certain things and it was considered super important for a Man to provide for a kid. I think it's outdated
