And this isn't the first time Master Hand is on those things, so any novelty doesn't really exist

This is the Contest of Smash
Almost every Nintendo character got boosted, even K Rool was close to beating Shephard
And with Smash Ultimate coming just a week after this contest ends, what a better time is there than to support the mascot the of Smash series?

Pros -
Fuck yeah World of Light hype
Fuck yeah Smash Bros Mascot
Fuck yeah this contest is fucking boring, bring on the surprise and excitement

cons-
It has a chance of getting SFF'd hard by another popular Smash character i.e Pikachu

But who cares

I think after Melee in 2015, Master Hand is the actual rally character to fear.

Master Hand has some tough draws ahead of it after Wario, though. Zero is going to be a tough opponent to beat on joke strength, and Pikachu is going to be worse.

If the hand survives the division though, it could take Mega Man, probably lose to Link, but the ball could continue to roll in the losers bracket.

Realistically I don't think Master Hand has enough appeal to make it past Zero or further. Captain Falcon would be a better character for Smash fans to rally behind IMO.
