People keep throwing around MMO way too frequently now. I see games that are 5 v 5 categorized as MMO.

Neither nor diablo are MMOs but people have been calling diablo an mmo for as long as it existed so I am used to it. I think people who don't actually play MMOs confuse any online rpg as an mmo

whether you like it or not, the modern definition of MMOs basically includes a ton of stuff that is entirely instanced, and as a result path of exile falls into that definition as well

Guess it depends on your stance of how many people are involved in a persistent world or not. I never considered diablo and the like an MMO.

I don't consider DIablo to be a persistent world, also. that's the other issue. I don't really get how it's an mmo
