The TLDR is this is a one time thing that Reynolds agreed to do, mostly using Deadpool 2 footage with some new footage as a framing story involving kidnapping Fred Savage. Reynolds agreed to do it on the condition that $1 of every ticket sale goes to his charity, "Fuck Cancer".
