His content was more natural and he appealed to regular reddit twentysomething joe. It wasn't excessively long, it didn't cut every 3 words, it didn't have a focus on SMASH THAT LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE BUTTON. It was sort of a counter-culture thing, like a reaction to all this youtube bullshit.
