Comb through the entire level, come up 2-3 gems short. Never a nice round number, always just enough where you have to hunt down individual gems. Good times!

Yeah I think every time I would go through a level when I replayed the trilogy over the summer I would always be a few gems short of complete and it'd take me forever to find the rest.
