I'm up to the third gym and I still feel like I'm waiting for the actual game to "start". There aren't any wild battles, so instead of spamming the x button for 1 second, I have to motion throwing a ball for 2 seconds, so now the game feels empty and desolate.

Yeah I dunno why they thought it was a good idea to remove wild battles.

Like saying, "Oh, it's for kids" doesn't mean shit. When I was a kid I had to fight Whitney's Miltank.

As someone who's actually played the game. Th new catching system sucks. You have to continuously recalibrate the joycon, the pokemon are constantly blocking the ball or dodging it, and you have zero influence on the RNG outside of berries.

I take it you have not figured out you can play it in handheld mode yet and not have to deal with it if you do not want too.

I take it you have not figured out you can play it in handheld mode yet and not have to deal with it if you do not want too.

You realize your solution to "spamming X" is to instead spam A? Secondly it's only available in handheld mode which doesn't fix playing it docked, and it gives no excuse for excluding the pro controller.

As someone who REALLY has played it and not fake trolling.

The throw mechanic is insane easy too do and for the most part is what you will do.

The only exception is the super fast move crazy happy pokemon.

You will definitely want to switch to handheld too catch them.

what did you expect from everything they shown? it's a stripped down casual friendly gen 1 remake.

what about the gym leaders? are the levels the same as the old games or did they lower the levels for them all?
