if this is a cat you took a photo of, help it now

scruff it very firmly and lift the front of the cat up until the tail is parallel to the ground, keeping kitty near the fence. then very gently extract the tail

if you're worried about safety you can wrap the cat in a towel, but i think that will cause more trouble

if you do not feel comfortable trying to help, call local animal control asap

Get one person to pry the two pieces of wooden fence the cat's leg is trapped between in opposite directions.....while a second person....with heavy duty gloves....lifts the cat upwards and away from the fence.

No damage done to cat or the fence that way.

If you don't have a second person to help you out, I suggest just manning the fuck up and grabbing the cat and slowly pulling it upwards while maybe using your other hand to try and push the wooden fence pieces apart to make room for the cat's leg.

Or calling 911 and saying there's a sweet pussy trapped between some hard wood.

We got them out. My roommate moves the fence as much as he could. And I pulled her leg out. She would not let us touch her from the front. So we had to go to the other side of the fence. She ran close to my house backdoor. Then past us to get out of the yard. I opened the fence so she could just walk through, but she wasnt that worried and jump over the fence. I had food to give them, but they peaced out. Or him. I could tell. But it seemed like male cat maybe...
