I've never had chivas regal, or in fact many scotches, so I bought an airplane bottle of it to try. Can't wait to put her to my tongue(as in chivas regal 12 year blended scotch whisky and not a teenager!)

Ive heard chivas is a good introductory scotch due it being blended and on the cheap side while actually being pretty good.

What does it smell like?

I really have no idea, as nosing scotches is something i am terrible at. I think I smell corn. I dont know. It doesnt smell horrible though, feels like it should be a smooth drink.

Its actually pretty good. it is smooth going down. Its hard for me sometimes to describe what things taste like but its base flavor isnt bad and is kinda interesting to me, and there isnt much alcohol bite.

Ive been reading our copy of the whisky bible at work a lot recently and upon a glance the worst reviewed one I saw, out of 100 was a 35.
