My standard playstyle in Dark Souls is: big shield + fast weapon

This does not translate well into Nioh
I tried ninja build but felt way too op.

idk just equip the best stuff you got and use the mid stance. everything else is unnecessary imo

also, the game's difficulty curve is quite high early on and then drops considerably as it goes on

I thought it was the opposite. I remember just spamming kunai and got to NG+ and was getting two shot.

Learn the range of your attacks and get good at properly managing your stamina.

I tried playing it a while back, but didn't like it as much as I expected to.

It's basically "Like Dark Souls, but..."

And the "but..." is "...not as good." The Diablo-esque loot dropping and main map mission hub were not fun.

You'll end up swinging 3-4 times to connect once with those dudes that crawl when low stance combos the fuck out of them
