Controls better than I thought it would. I've had no issues using a controller, and in handheld mode you just use the touch screen.

This will absolutely be one of my most played traveling games.

Now that its out on Switch I just hope they add the Rise and Fall expansion to both the Switch and iPhone/iPad versions so I can finally play the full experience on the go. I love the additions to the game and it feels sooo much different, and better, but once I got my iPad for free with my phone upgrade last year I never go back to my PC to play because Im playing it forever on the iPad. They added it to the phone too but it murders the battery so fuck that, Ill just stick with the iPad since Ive always got both with me anyway.

So theres apparently a 42 day old reddit post that just came to light from an Aspyr dev who confirmed that they are indeed working on Rise and Fall for iOS with no timetable given, so at least theres that confirmation that itll come out eventually. If the switch version is a port of the iOS version then presumably itll come to that soon after too, if not at the same time.

Ewe! I dont know why but I just couldnt stand Civ 5. It just felt like a bad version of Civ 4 with hexagons. When Civ 6 came out there were a bunch of minor corrections that seemed like they didnt exactly warrant a whole new game but all together the game just felt so much better.
