I'll be honest the only thing that comes to mind when I think of this is the Eddie Bauer edition ford vehicles. I mean I visited the site just now and was reminded of what it actually is. For outdoor stuff it's usually REI / Patagonia for me.

Their return policy is just fucking nuts. Shes had people return boots that are literally duct taped together, have blood in them, etc.... and she has to accept it

That's pretty crazy yeah. Patagonia acts the same way kind of as a company, they have a lifetime guarantee so you can pretty much return stuff for repair or replacement forever- but for the prices these higher end outerwear companies tend to ask for products it's only fair that they provide a good return policy to go with it tbh.

They also try to flip some of their returns though on markdown (online).

They're probably just banking on people appreciating that enough to go back and buy from them consistently.
