Volcanoes have the potential to be the most destructive. A supervolcano eruption can block out the sun for months, maybe even years or decades. Imagine what that'd do

Well, it was a toss up between that and large asteroids

The world would go into an ice age if a volcano erupts, however, ice ages are necessary to undo all the climate changes and gives the Earth a chance to replenish resources.
