Was also once again considering a cheap 40" smartTV or whatever, half for gaming. It's system for $300 with a $50 GS giftcard and a $35 e-shop giftcard (making it an effective $215). I do already own Zelda on my Wii U, and I have also already finished/played Super Mario Odyessy. That left Octotraveler, and Xenosaga 2 (but I have not played the first 2 Xeno games for the Wii and Wii U even though I own them). The conclusion I came to was there just was no games I really wanted to play on the switch. Certainly nothing worth spending over $300 for. So yeah, it's a good deal, but it's a good deal for a system that STILL doesn't really have anything I'm dying to play. Even if it does get something, I have friends with a switch, so I could just play say...octopathtraveler or whatever it's called at their home probably. Eh, in my case I kinda like to build a library (if I can't find a selection of games cheaply) before buying a system. In the case of the ps4, I have at least 5 or 10 games already so that would have worked out better. But yeah, the overall selection for the Switch was a bit of a headscratcher. When I was at Best Buy after work today, I saw a few interesting titles (some DQ builder game and a brawl-type game with anthros titled something along the lines of Brawlout) so there's stuff but.... honestly, the big draw was just BotW and a portable version of Skyrim. Skyrim I can just play on a laptop I guess; I own the PC collection, the Legendary ps3 version, and the vanilla 360 one already. streamofthesky posted...
