I realize that there's been much better collections released since then, but Sonic Mega Collection got the most time out of me as far as compilations go.

Mega Man Anniversary Collection for the Gamecube.

I know most don't like it because the A & B buttons were swapped, but I play it through an emulator so that's no longer an issue. Besides, I like the fact it gives the original NES games L/R weapon swapping, a dedicated slide button, and it pretty much removes all the annoying slowdown. And if you take out the memory card (or tell it not to create a save), those annoying save prompts disappear, too.

It's pretty much my go-to solution now for the original six NES games.

Animal crossing for the GameCube

Maybe a Namco game. Though, I got another collection for Xbox with Banjo and some other games that was fun.

That's such a difficult question. There have been many great compilations, but usually I'll play older games on PC just because either the emulation quality is superior or better filter options like really convincing CRT effects.

That said, I do own and have gotten a lot of playtime out of the Capcom Digital Collection. I like most of the games in the compilation, but the two gems of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Final Fight: Double Impact just make the whole thing worth it to me.

There are just so many great collections, so this is a tough one for me.

The KH complete collection might be my favorite so far.
The Zelda Collector's Edition is a good honorable mention though.

When I was a kid I had a 6-Pak for the Genesis that had Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Columns, Sonic 1, Shinobi and Super Hang on, tho I never played that last one, the others were pretty tight.

Namco Museum > Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Galaxian, Dig Dug, Pole Position, Pole Position II, Rolling Thunder, Rally X, Bosconian, Dragon Spirit, Sky Kid, Xevious, and Mappy.

I was going to say Day of the Tentacle because it comes with a full version of Maniac Mansion in the game (so you can play the game while playing the game), but that's not what you're asking for.

Namco Museum > Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Galaxian, Dig Dug, Pole Position, Pole Position II, Rolling Thunder, Rally X, Bosconian, Dragon Spirit, Sky Kid, Xevious, and Mappy.

I liked the Namco stuff... They have 5 disc for PS1, I think. Each was one of the letters of Namco, IIRC...

I got a lot of use out of the Command & Conquer Collection about 10 years ago or so (whenever it came out). I love Red Alert 2, so while Id play all of the games, I kept going back to that one.



(Also, while I dont have an Xbox One, I suspect Id get a lot of use outta Rare Replay if I did own one.)
