Hmm I would disagree on both points. I feel like it moves along quite nicely. And the dialogue is fun.

I don't know, as far as "moving along quite nicely" it just kind of dumps you into her life on the cusp of this supposedly big decision without really introducing any of the characters. And there doesn't seem to be any emotion behind any of it, at all. I stopped at the part where she got to the woods and the girls showed up and said generic mean things and then cursed her and the whole time she didn't really react or say anything, except "bitches" at the end after they had already left :\

I'm not sure what you're expecting? Most stories start on the precipice of a change in a character's life. It's also a mystery, so like... not all is revealed.

Well for example, I just watched the first episode of Homecoming. It also starts you off at two points in the main character's life, but the way they present it is... more realistic? I feel like there's a connected purpose between scenes. I did not get that from Sabrina.

They talk about how Sabrina has to give up her friends, but all you know about her friends is from a minute and a half scene where they're throwing out completely absurd and mature explanations about Night of the Living Dead that sounds like it came from a movie tropes discussion board. So to the viewer it's not really a meaningful sacrifice for her to have to give up her friends, because you only know they're friends because the show said so, and otherwise you have no personal connection to those characters.

Well, keep watching is all I have to say. Sabrina cares deeply for her friends and it IS shown in the show. You didn't get very far.
