Are you sitting down at a park expecting play it for 6 hours on full brightness or something? I have never had an issue with the battery life

It's half the length of 3DS's battery life. Not that I expected it to be the same length, but that's pretty bad

It depends wildly on the game. Breath of the Wild battery life is (or was, maybe they sorted it out) a fraction of Disgaea 5's.

It lasted me a 4 hour bus ride once. That's pretty decent.

last time the power went out i got a good couple hours out of mine, seems fine to me.

It does the job. I mean it's not brilliant but people overexaggerate how much unplugged time they really need. If I can play it for 3-4 hours on a train trip down to london, can't imagine being totally without power for much longer than that.
