It will turn on and go to the main screen, but the cursor wont even show up. My keyboard works because I can hit cntrl/alt/delete and bring up task manager. Any idea of why it wont work? Also when I turn on my computer I tried to reset the whole thing and the mouse was working then. It just wont work when I get my computer fully turned on. Any help would be appreciated

if you don't know how to uninstall the touch pad drivers you could always reset your PC if you don't mind reinstalling programs

Yep idk how that happened but this fixed it.

Hi,
Follow the steps mentioned below and check if it helps:
Method 1:
Here are few steps to enable touchpad while using external mouse.
1. Click the Start button on your computer screen (bottom left corner), then type main.cpl in the search box. When you are finish typing, click Enter on your keyboard.
2. In the new window that opens, click the Device Settings tab at the top. It should be the last one on the right.
3. While in the Device Settings section, make sure the name of your touchpad is highlighted (it should be already), then click the Enable button. Click OK, and then click OK again when the warning box pops up.

Some/most laptops have a function key toggled to mouse pad on/off

It's kind of a weird thing to tie to a F key but
